What can affect me now?
Our leader is a serial predator
seeking his gain over all others
no matter the consequences
preening and dancing for his
own pleasure and his burning
insatiable greed.
What can affect me now?
The gangs of power
are forming and planning
their assaults on my family
and my friends; take no prisoners
leave no trace except hate.
What can affect me now?
Our churches are selling out
joining up with the power of Caesar
rending to Caesar what Caesar wants
what Caesar lusts for
they joyfully lay down
and give up.
