God took a day off
The preparations for the GIDatH were pretty taxing so God decided to take the solstice day off and rest. Everyone was instructed to check in with St. Peter if they had any issues that needed to be resolved.
God went out into the universe and viewed the stars and galaxies that had developed over billions of light years; the way everything worked together and how beautiful it all was. God enjoyed the quiet solitude and began to sing:
O wonderful creation
O bountiful space
Give this new hope
A start towards
Peace on Earth
Grant this new life
A vision for the coming years
A journey of service and care
A start towards
Joy to the World
Keep this new one safe
Grant him all that he needs
Let him walk his own path
Glory to a
Newborn King.
The Heavenly Host were silent for they knew that the heart of God was heavy but the hope of God was even greater. It was going to be the time of the Great Turning and they would have a part in it. All the players were starting to look towards a small town on earth; preparing for the arrival of a tiny, innocent child who came with a message from God.
God went back to work and went over the many details of the day that would soon come. Surely, the people would understand and listen and there would be Peace on Earth.
