until you ask

I shall not​​ 

let you go away

from me

I shall not allow time

or space

to​​ create ​​ gaps

where none exist​​ 

today

I​​ shall​​ not​​ let

this quilt

of living

that we have sewn

be torn

or tossed aside.

I​​ shall instead

wrap​​ myself​​ in it

and thereby​​ 

know that all

that is important

and rare

remain
